The Wanderer

#34 The Wanderer

The Wanderer represents Odin's sacrifice at the Well of Mimir. (gave his right eye for Wisdom) The stag bones hint to his conversation with the Giant Vafthrudner, and are from the largest deer I've ever found (Licking County). The ring, tho not Rhinegold, nor that of the Nibelungen, holds together many fates that are interwoven into the Destiny of the All-Father. The split spindle represents the duality of Odin walking as a Man.

The Wanderer can sit atop a table or hang from a hole in the back.
Approximately 19" tall by 5 1/2" w/l. Bones, Rope, Pallet wood, spindle.
